NWMAF is monitoring pandemic conditions for 2021. We recognize that some of our members simply won't be comfortable with a large gathering so soon, even if numbers drop significantly by July. Here's what you can count on:
Even if we do hold an in-person gathering, we are committed to virtual options for BOTH attendees and instructors. And we may decide to go entirely virtual again. We'll let you know our decision next spring. But either way, we hope to see you in July! ![]()

Our signature event is a multi-style training camp and professional self-defense instruction conference, held every summer, usually at a different college campus every year. Attendees come from all over the United States, Canada, and beyond. We come:
Classes for Young Martial Artists and TeensAttendees ages 6 and up are welcome! We offer a multi-generational training experience. Many classes are open to all ages, while others are specifically designed for Young Martial Artists (ages 6-12) and/or Teens (ages 13-18). Our young students often design a demonstration for the performance on Saturday night. (Attendees 12 and under must be accompanied to classes by a guardian.) Self-Defense Empowerment Model CourseTake all or part of this comprehensive series of skill-building self-defense classes, taught by NWMAF-certified self-defense instructors. Learn how to escape grabs, fight from the ground, defend against weapons, and much more. No experience necessary!
