2012 Special Training Trainer Application
It's About the Training
Every year women and girls come to the Self-Defense Instructors' Conference (SDIC) and Special Training (ST) from all over the United States, Canada, and beyond. We come to share our passion for the martial arts. We come to develop our skills in self-defense. We come for the training.
NWMAF honors our commitment to diversity in our trainer selection process. We work hard to hire a diverse group of instructors from a wide range of styles to teach classes to women and girls of all ages, skill levels, and at varying exertion levels.
About the Trainer Information Form
The Trainer Information Form collects basic contact information and draft class information. Once trainer and class selection is complete camp book material will be collected. ST Trainer Information Form
Trainer Selection
ST2012 trainers will be selected from a pool of women expressing interest in teaching, and by inviting trainers known to NWMAF.
Trainer Compensation
For 2012, the Special Training trainer compensation model has been modified to allow us to hire a diverse range of trainers while maintaining a budget corresponding to the level of registration. Baseline compensation for trainers teaching 2 classes at ST2012 will be ST-SDIC tuition (including Wednesday arrival and a single room) plus a $150 stipend. For classes beyond two, an additional stipend of $150/class will be included. Trainers are responsible for their own transportation costs.
